Cars and Culture at Obsessed Garage
Checked out Obsessed Garage’s Cars & Culture event in Lady Lake, Florida. Saw cool cars, toured the new space, and explored top detailing products.
The opportunity to attend a Cars and Culture event at Obsessed Garage presented itself recently, so we took a little detour to Lady Lake Florida to check out their event, and see the new Obsessed Garage building firsthand.
Rain was falling on the way to the event, and was in the forecast for the day, so there was a smaller turnout of vehicles compared to events in the past. The vehicles that did show up were fun to check out. A few rows of BMW’s, a row of Mitsubishi Evo’s, a number of Porsches, and a number of other enthusiast vehicles filled up a section of the parking lot.
A tour of the new space, which is still under renovation, allowed us to see how the crew is transforming the former bank building into a modern area for; testing and showcasing products, photo and video content creation, garage design services, and a neat and efficient shipping/receiving area.
While there we were able to spend some time with our friends from Dryce Nation, which is the vehicle dry ice cleaners collective that we are part of. Scott Ales, “the dry ice man” who oversees the Dryce group and who has worked on projects with the likes of Tavarish and Adam LZ, was very surprised that we were standing there when he arrived.
We admire Obsessed Garage’s motto: “Do Average Elsewhere.” Those three words sum up what we aim for in the detailing work that we do for our clients. We are not the average in and out detail shop which cycles vehicles through one after another mindlessly.
Obsessed Garage is instrumental in helping us in finding products which we utilize in our processes; from quality products by companies like Koch Chemie, Bilt Hamber, or GTechniq, to the ICS Dry Ice Cleaning machine we use. The honest product reviews, and product demonstrations that we are able to see on Obsessed Garage’s YouTube channel are always helpful in our quest to find products to use on our client’s vehicles which are safe and effective.
We had a great visit at Obsessed Garage for the Cars and Culture event, and hope to be able to visit again!
